Jurisdictions and Categories - PolicyMate API

Jurisdictions

Jurisdictions represent the countries, states, counties, and cities PolicyMate monitors. The GET /jurisdictions endpoint returns every jurisdiction your account may access, which is handy for building filters without guessing identifiers:

Categories

Categories organise bills and documents by policy area, from broad areas such as energy policy down to specific subjects. Categories form a tree, which you may retrieve using the GET /categories endpoint:

You may filter bills and documents by category using the category query parameter. Filtering by a parent category includes all of its children.
